A Drunken Incident

A week ago my younger cousin Ivette was visiting from Texas and wanted to stay at my house in San Diego. She grew up in San Diego and had not been back since she graduated High School. She wanted to visit her grandparents and friends. I was out of town on business and one day she got drunk with her ex-boyfriend at the house. An old guy friend of hers heard she was in town and stopped by to visit her. Her ex-boyfriend got jealous and got into a fight with her friend and broke my door. Luckily this happened during the day when I could still call the San Diego Emergency Glass company who also has door repair/replacement services.

I was not home when this incident happened. I’m blessed to have neighbors I can really call friends and who look out for my house when my husband and I aren’t home. Jimmy, the next door neighbor knew my cousin from when we were growing up. We went to the same school with his brother. When he saw Ivette coming out of the house trying to separate her ex-boyfriend and other male friend he immediately called me.

I was very upset. I kept thinking “when will my cousin grow up?!” The guys at San Diego Emergency Glass were very quick to arrive and replace the door before the sun went down and we could possible suffer from another incident (robbery!). I can with all security say that these guys have the best customer service and also provide quality work! I actually like my new door better. Maybe this had to happen so I could stop being too cheap to buy a new door. The old one would squeak because it was swollen from the humidity of several summers.  See my new door below. Have a beautiful rest of your day!
