Glass Replacement

It was my nephew’s birthday last April and my husband and I decided to drive down to San Diego to pay him a visit. I usually don’t like to drive all the way down to San Diego even though I usually go to south California about twice a year. There is something about those extra 3 hours that doesn’t sound very appealing but I had never visited my brother’s home and so we thought we’d do something different this year. My sister-in-law had a very important business appointment right before the party so my husband and I stayed with the kids. When I’m around kids I can start acting like one sometimes. We decided to have some fun and start running around the house like maniacs; me on foot, and Tommy on his bike. It was not a good idea (when is it?). Tommy bumped into the glass door that leads to the backyard. We needed a glass replacement soon and a first aid kit.

Luckily, Tommy’s injury wasn’t so bad. He only had a few scratches from the broken glass on his right arm. I was so embarrassed. How could I let this happen? This is the reason why I don’t have kids, ha! I needed to fix this quickly. Karen, my sister-in-law is one of the finest and strongest women I’ve ever known, but she is also kind of a perfectionist. I was afraid she would get very upset, her home looked so intact! I had to think of something quick. I knew she wouldn’t be home for at least two hours. So I went to Google and looked up 24 hour emergency glass services.

I found a company that offered glass replacement services in the area and after answering some short questions about the broken glass they were able to come and replace it for us in no time. My sister-in-law never even knew about it, and everyone promised they wouldn’t tell her. And about Tommy’s scratches, they were so fine that Karen never even noticed them. Phew!
